The Social Security (Contributions) (Republic of India) Order 2026

This Statutory Instrument brings into effect the Agreement on Social Security relating to Social Security Contributions signed between the United Kingdom and the Republic of India to ensure reciprocal arrangements and prevent double liability for social security contributions for individuals working in either territory.

It modifies relevant UK social security legislation and establishes detailed rules on which state's legislation applies to employed persons, detached workers, mariners, and aircraft crew, complemented by administrative provisions for cooperation, data protection, and dispute resolution, while stipulating that the Order comes into force upon the exchange of formal notifications between both states.

This Order, made by HM Treasury under the Government Resources and Accounts Act 2000, revises the list of designated central government bodies for the purpose of calculating supply estimates and resource accounts for the financial year ending March 31, 2026.

Specifically, it substitutes the entire Schedule of the principal Order (The Government Resources and Accounts Act 2000 (Estimates and Accounts) Order 2025) with an updated list organized by government department, adding, renaming, or removing various public sector bodies.

The Central African Republic (Sanctions) (EU Exit) (Amendment) Regulations 2025

The Central African Republic (Sanctions) (EU Exit) (Amendment) Regulations 2025 update the existing 2020 sanctions framework concerning the Central African Republic to incorporate amendments mandated by United Nations Security Council Resolutions 2745 (2024) and 2789 (2025).

These amendments primarily introduce new definitions for "armed group operating in the Central African Republic" and "associated individual" and subsequently amend provisions concerning the arms embargo, export of military goods, provision of technical assistance, financial services, and brokering activities to target these non-state actors directly, ensuring the UK's sanctions regime reflects its international obligations.

The Double Taxation Relief and International Tax Enforcement (Romania) Order 2025

This Order, made by His Majesty in Council, formally brings into effect the Convention and Protocol between the United Kingdom and Romania, signed in November 2024, designed to eliminate double taxation on income and capital gains, prevent tax evasion and avoidance, and establish frameworks for mutual assistance in tax enforcement between the two countries, thereby replacing the previous 1975 Convention.

The Double Taxation Relief and International Tax Enforcement (Peru) Order 2025

This Order formally brings into force the Convention and accompanying Protocol between the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the Republic of Peru, which aims to eliminate double taxation on income and capital gains, prevent tax evasion and avoidance, and establish mutual assistance mechanisms for international tax enforcement, setting out detailed rules for the allocation of taxing rights, definitions of residency and permanent establishment, and procedures for dispute resolution.

The Extradition Act 2003 (Amendment to Designations) Order 2025

This Order, made under the Extradition Act 2003, amends the list of designated Part 2 territories by revoking the designation for the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Zimbabwe due to the suspension or termination of underlying international agreements, while simultaneously adding Chile as a designated Part 2 territory following its accession to the European Convention on Extradition 1957; it also sets commencement rules and provides transitional arrangements for cases already in progress.

The Social Security (Residence in an EEA State or Switzerland) (Amendment) Regulations 2025

The Social Security (Residence in an EEA State or Switzerland) (Amendment) Regulations 2025 modify existing social security regulations concerning Invalid Care Allowance, Disability Living Allowance (DLA) care component, and Personal Independence Payment (PIP) daily living component for individuals residing in an EEA State or Switzerland.

These Regulations allow individuals who were in receipt of the relevant benefit provision under an applicable EU Regulation on December 31, 2020, to continue receiving those specific entitlements, provided they have maintained continuous receipt since that date and have not subsequently been habitually resident in the UK.

The Global Irregular Migration and Trafficking in Persons Sanctions (Overseas Territories) Order 2025

This Order in Council extends the Global Irregular Migration and Trafficking in Persons Sanctions Regulations 2025, along with relevant provisions of the Sanctions and Anti-Money Laundering Act 2018, to eleven specified British overseas territories starting on October 16, 2025.

The extension applies with specific modifications detailed in Schedule 2, which primarily substitute references from UK bodies like the Treasury or Secretary of State with the respective Territory's Governor for the administration of sanctions, including designating persons, issuing licences, and enforcing immigration and financial restrictions related to combating people smuggling and trafficking.
