These Regulations, known as the Online Safety Act 2023 (Commencement No. 7) Regulations 2026, are made by the Secretary of State under the authority of the Online Safety Act 2023 to bring specific provisions of that Act into force on April 7, 2026, primarily focusing on establishing the mandatory duty for providers of regulated user-to-user services to report Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (CSEA) content to the National Crime Agency, alongside related offenses, supplementary reporting requirements, and powers for the regulator to obtain information.

These Regulations, made by the Secretary of State for Transport under powers granted by the Air Navigation Order 2016, immediately revoke the Air Navigation (Restriction of Flying) (Falkirk, Scotland) (Emergency) Regulations 2026, because the Secretary of State determined that the emergency situation necessitating the previous flying restrictions in the specified Falkirk area no longer exists and is not considered necessary in the public interest.

These Regulations, made on 10th March 2026 and effective 6th April 2026, introduce amendments across six major pieces of UK health and safety legislation governing offshore installations and pipelines, primarily to formally incorporate activities related to Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage (CCUS) and offshore hydrogen production into existing safety, management, regulatory, and reporting frameworks, ensuring these nascent energy sectors are regulated under consistent safety standards previously applied to the offshore oil and gas industry.

This Statutory Instrument, enacted by Order in Council, amends the 2013 Order which applies sections of the Health and Safety at Work etc.

Specifically, the Order updates the definition of 'offshore installation' within Article 4 of the 2013 Order to explicitly include structures used for the production of hydrogen, thereby extending UK health and safety legislation to these specific offshore activities starting from April 6, 2026.

These Regulations, enacted by the Secretary of State under powers from the Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Act 2012, amend the 2013 Regulations to institute new daily rates for the recovery of costs from designated authorities when a child is remanded to various forms of youth detention accommodation in England and Wales, with the changes taking legal effect on April 1, 2026.

This Order, made under the Scotland Act 1998, temporarily modifies Schedule 5, which defines reserved matters, to grant the Scottish Parliament limited legislative competence concerning the identification and regulation of substances and devices used in assisted dying for terminally ill adults.

The legislative power conferred is conditional: Scottish Ministers can identify substances/devices via subordinate legislation only with the Secretary of State’s agreement, while the Secretary of State retains power to regulate those items without Scottish Minister agreement.

These exceptions apply only to Scottish Acts resulting from Bills passed before 7 May 2026, and the Scottish Parliament cannot use this limited power to mandate the content of the regulation or impose duties on the Secretary of State.

These Statutory Instruments, made under the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024, formally confer specific regulatory functions related to Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) for consumer contract disputes onto the Chartered Trading Standards Institute (CTSI), effective April 6, 2026.

The Regulations detail the procedures the CTSI must follow when approving fee provisions, handling accreditation applications, suspending or revoking accreditations, enforcing compliance, and disclosing relevant information to consumers, alongside establishing mandatory quarterly and annual reporting requirements to the Secretary of State and the public.

The Air Navigation (Restriction of Flying) (Royal Air Force Coningsby) Regulations 2026 impose a temporary prohibition on aircraft flying below 8,000 feet above mean sea level within a 6 nautical mile radius centred at 530534N 0001000W, specifically between 1230 and 1330 hours Co-ordinated Universal Time on March 16, 2026.

This measure is enacted by the Secretary of State for Transport in the public interest to ensure safety during flying display rehearsals conducted by the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, the Red Arrows, while permitting exceptions for aircraft authorized by designated Air Traffic Control units.
