The A66 Northern Trans-Pennine Development Consent (Correction) Order 2025
This Order officially corrects specific errors and omissions identified in the A66 Northern Trans-Pennine Development Consent Order 2024, which was granted under the Planning Act 2008.

The Public Offers and Admissions to Trading (Amendment and Consequential and Transitional Provisions) Regulations 2025
These Regulations, made by the Treasury under powers in the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000, make technical amendments and transitional provisions concerning the Public Offers and Admissions to Trading Regulations 2024.
Specifically, they substitute a new provision for FCA investigation powers concerning entities subject to the 2024 Regulations, establish temporary arrangements for existing authorised persons applying to conduct the newly regulated activity of operating an electronic system for public offers, and introduce consequential amendments across various pieces of legislation, including primary and subordinate legislation and numerous UK sanctions regulations, to align them with the new framework.
The Immigration (Passenger Transit Visa) (Amendment) (No. 3) Order 2025
This Order, made under powers granted by the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999, amends the Immigration (Passenger Transit Visa) Order 2014, changing the official designation for transit visa requirements from “Palestinian Territories” to “Palestine” in Schedule 1.
The amendment takes effect on 11th November 2025 and applies across the United Kingdom, with the Secretary of State for the Home Office confirming no significant impact assessment was required for the private or voluntary sectors.
The Immigration (Passenger Transit Visa) (Amendment) (No. 2) Order 2025
This Order, made under the powers conferred by the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999, amends the Immigration (Passenger Transit Visa) Order 2014 to mandate that nationals or citizens of Botswana must now obtain a transit visa when passing through the United Kingdom without entering the country.
The amending Order cites the amendment comes into force on 15th October 2025, though a transitional provision exempts Botswana nationals who have pre-booked travel arriving on or before 25th November 2025.
The Oaklands Farm Solar Park (Correction) Order 2025
This Order, known as the Oaklands Farm Solar Park (Correction) Order 2025, formally enacts corrections to the original 2025 Development Consent Order (DCO) granted under the Planning Act 2008, following a request from the applicant.
The Order specifies these technical amendments, primarily involving the substitution of lists, numbering sequences, and minor textual variations across various articles and schedules pertaining to the solar park development, and it came into force on October 9th, 2025.
The Lord Chancellor enacted the Sentencing Act 2020 (Amendment of Schedule 21) Regulations 2025, following consultation and parliamentary approval, to amend Schedule 21 of the Sentencing Code, which dictates minimum terms for mandatory life sentences for murder.
These Regulations introduce two new statutory aggravating factors that sentencing courts must consider for murders committed on or after the regulations come into force: first, whether the murder was connected to the end (or intended end) of the offender's intimate personal relationship with the victim; and second, whether the murder involved strangulation, suffocation, or asphyxiation.
The Street and Road Works (Charges and Penalties) (Amendments) (England) Regulations 2025
This statutory instrument, made under the powers of the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 and the Traffic Management Act 2004, amends several pieces of legislation governing street and road works in England, with effect from January 5th, 2026.
The key changes involve doubling fixed penalty amounts for notice breaches and permit violations, extending the calculation basis for charges on unreasonably prolonged occupation, and requiring highway authorities to dedicate 50% of the net excess proceeds from occupation charges to highway maintenance.
The Diffuse Mesothelioma Payment Scheme (Amendment) Regulations 2025
The Diffuse Mesothelioma Payment Scheme (Amendment) Regulations 2025, made by the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions using powers under the Mesothelioma Act 2014, fundamentally updates the compensation framework for diffuse mesothelioma sufferers.
These regulations specifically substitute Table 1 in Schedule 4 of the 2014 Regulations, resulting in a 49% increase for all scheme payment amounts based on the age of the individual when first diagnosed.
These revised, higher payment amounts apply to any person first diagnosed with diffuse mesothelioma on or after 4th November 2025, or to their eligible dependants if the person has died without applying.
